There is no Season 6, but the story isn’t completely over. Netflix has confirmed a brand-new spin-off series is coming. The creators, the Duffer Brothers, say the spin-off will be a clean slate — new characters, a new decade, and no Upside Down, no Eleven, and no returning cast. They did confirm one thing: a small scene in the finale hints at what’s coming next, but it’s easy to miss. On top of that, an animated Stranger Things series set in 1985 is also in development. So while the original story ends tonight, the Stranger Things universe is just getting started — in a very different way.
