Netflix scraped 4 animated shows before they even got made. Netflix has pulled the plug on several shows in the first quarter of 2022 and this list of scrapped shows keeps getting bigger with these animated projects. The streamer killed Wings of Fire, an animated series about dragon tribes at war with each other. The 2nd show, With Kind Regards from Kindergarten” is also scrapped. It is based on a darker children’s book about two young friends who drift as one of them loses his imagination. “Antiracist Baby,” a show based on antiracist scholar Dr. Ibram X. Kendi's children’s book of the same name, also made it to the list of canceled shows. “Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You,” was another animated series based on a book from Kendi, but has also been scrapped. None of these series ever saw the light of day on Netflix. All four of them have been axed without even debuting one episode on the service. It seems Netflix can't escape yet from hot waters as the company laid off about 150 employees in an attempt to cut costs after a weak start to 2022. In the first quarter of this year, the company reported a net loss of 200,000 streaming customers, its first decline in a decade. So, we can only hope that Netflix finds a way to keep making great shows for its subscribers.
