Netflix finally set the record straight over a growing fan theory—dubbed Conformity Gate—that there was a secret, final ninth episode of ‘Stranger Things’ to be released on Jan. 7. As of the morning of Jan. 7, the bios for the official Stranger Things social media accounts read, “ALL EPISODES OF ‘STRANGER THINGS’ ARE NOW PLAYING.” However, there are a number of spinoff projects in the works.
